Synopsis
Mysterious and brooding, this slow-burn black-and-white art-horror traces Mateo’s return to his family’s dilapidated clothing factory after his mother’s death. Things go from bad to worse as Mateo tries unsuccessfully to hold his marriage together, find a job, and finally deal with his dangerous brother Estanislao—a giant half-man, half-bird monster who lives in a locked cell down the hall. Beautifully shot, darkly comic art-house dream thriller that reaches beyond magical realism into shadowy surrealism.
