LEMONADE, Ioana Uricaru's debut feature produced by Cristian Mungiu, expands to four territories

LEMONADE has been produced by the critically acclaimed Palme d'Or winner Cristian Mungiu (GRADUATION, 4 MONTHS, 3 WEEKS AND 2 DAYS) and premiered in this year's Berlinale Panorama section. It has already been sold to France (ASC Distribution) at the EFM 2018 and has confirmed distributors in its home countries: Voodoo Films (Romania), Mongrel/Metropole Films Distribution (Canada), déjà-vu Film (Germany). Today, PLUTO FILM is highly pleased to announce closed deals for Greece (Danaos Films), China (Wing Sight Culture & Media Co.), Ex-Yugoslavia (Visionary Thinking) and Israel (Lev Cinemas). Other territories are still in ongoing negotiations.

Born and raised in Romania, director Ioana Uricaru has crafted a powerful debut feature film that questions the idea of the American dream and explores the condition of a young mother caught between two cultures.
